Hobie 33 racing sailboat, up to 18 knots.! The seller says she is so fast it can be scary.!
The seller loves the performance and has her highly modified. As an ULDB (ultra light displacement boat), her PHRF Rating is 80.!
She is 8' wide x 33' long, 7' draft and only 4000 lbs. This is a reaching and downwind racing machine with the ability to stay with competitors upwind.
Lifting keel narrowed and lengthened to match modern keels, now 18\" wide (naca foil shape) x 7' deep. Keel bulb lengthened, shaped and 300lbs added.
Hobie rudder replaced with a lightweight Melges 30 rudder.
Old rudder: 21.5\" wide x 37\" deep.
New rudder: 12.5\" wide x 52\" deep less wetted surface and 15\" deeper.!
5.5' bowsprit added, downwind and reaching asymmetrical spinnakers. Roller furler added.!
Recently added square top mainsail with running backstays, catch more air up top and downwind - increased sail area. The weaker Hobie mast was replaced with a stronger J30 racing mast.
Includes keel lifting mechanism for keel and mast can be raised and lowered with crew...No in/out costs necessary at marinas.
