The model is a 2897 Mariner. A/C and heat, twin 220hp 5.0 Mercruiser engines paired to Walter v drives.

This Carver 2897 Mariner is the sister of the 2827, the difference being that the Mariner has the galley and head forward and no lower helm, thus making it roomier inside.

The flybridge controls the twin 220 HO Mercruiser 5.0 Inboards thru the Walters V-Drive. Seating for six is provided there.

Cruising speed is a respectable 25 MPH with a top end of around 34 MPH. Fuel consumption is about 13 gals/hr.

There is plenty of seating in the salon and the head compartment is large for a 28-footer.
